I started this project a long time ago, but I never had the opportunity to finish it properly until now.

I love the idea of the hybrid creature, the powerful shapes, and the pride.
I used these ideas for inspiration and searched for more information about armor and weapons to redesign the warrior. I found another great piece of art with great armor for a gladiator https://www.artstation.com/artwork/WQL0v

It was a great first attempt at creating a full character covered in fur. I used Substance Painter to bake it all in. It was also my first time working with Xgen and Zbrush's fibermesh for the fur. I have to say it was a very refreshing experience.
